Toric Lense Adjustment Time?

Heres the thing, I’ve been wearing contacts for a while now, but they were just regular colored contacts, now I’ve switched over to toric lenses (today is my first day with them) because I have and astigmatism, my question is, how long does it take to get used to it, and is there really an adjustment time, I have my drivers license vision test tomorrow, will I fail? PLEASE NO SARCASTIC ANSWERS!

I had to switch over just like you did, and it took a few days for my eyes to adjust and for me to feel comfortable. I think you will do just fine with the new lenses for your DL test. You may have to concentrate a bit more, but you will be able see just fine..Good Luck
Toric contacts are “weighted” in order for the lens line up correctly. Every time you blink it will move the contact a little and the weight will line it back up. It will take you at least a few days to get use to this movement.
Your eye doctor should see you again in about a week to check your lenses. Sometimes with toric lenses they will make adjustments to your prescription, at this visit, to adjust for the movement. It can take more than one follow visit to find the right fit for you.
If the movement in the lens is enough that you can not see well enough to pass your driving test, you should call your doctor and go in for a follow up.
My friend didn’t take any time at all to get used to it. She was fine the first day wearing them. Make sure they are your correct prescription and size
