well i want to become an airline pilot
but the vision requirements bothers me
im currently wearing a grade 75 eyeglasses, Astigmatism
so whats the vision requirements?
am I allowed to take eye laser surgery?
please help me I’m so close in fulfilling my dreams

Wearing glasses is not at all a problem in airlines. You should also have spare glasses while flying. But dont take laser surgery.
Again as long as your vision is 20/20 corrected, your fine….
Been there done that
“Comair” is correct but another overlooked vision test is “color”. I entered Univ. of Georgia and the NROTC to specialize as a flight officer. A close friend did as well and during his initial flight physical he could not pass the Navy’s green light, red light, white light vision color. All through his life never did he experience a problem with color as far as he knew. The doctor explained many, especially in “blue eyed” males, are born with a deterrent to specific shades of color when shown together, in this case green, red, white. I remember the doctor giving him the “book” with different shades and, believe it or not, he had no problem identifying the letters and numbers. Sadly, his dream as a Naval pilot was denied because of the required test.
Good Luck with your goals, stay positive, continue education.
