Whats the success rate of these on Astigmatism. Are they just like toric lens which are horrible.Users Please give ur experiences with Synergeyes. Why are they so costly. IS it because they are new on the market. Will they do justice to their cost.
My Prescription is below:
Sphere Cylinder Axis
OD -1.50 +1.00 013
OS -1.75 +1.75 155
I would be 26 next month and had specs from last 2 yrs. Continously using specs from probably 1 yr.
was trying for toric contacts and tried
1.accuvue advance for astigmatism(rotating and not convenient too big for my eye it seems)
2.vertex toric
3.soflens66 toric
4.biomedics toric
and now 5.purevision torics( BC 8.7 Dia 14.0mm)
the problem is when I focus on the objects, I feel blurred for a sec and again the vision comes back but its happening very frequently.

no…nothing like a soft toric. way better vision usually than a toric, and way more comfortable than a traditional “hard” lens.
but not cheap. we charge $225 for a 2-pack (you cant buy just one lens), and our fees are $144 for the fit. so $594 for the whole thing.

The synergeyes contacts are a combination of RGP(hard) lenses and soft contacts. You are suppose to get better vision with a RGP because they dont rotate like the soft ones do. But they are very uncomfortable at first. So they came out with the synergeyes contacts with the hard lens in the center and a soft skirt around the hard lens, which really improves comfort. But you are right! They are really expensive. If you did try them and didnt like them – you would just be out the fitting fee(which is still probably between 150-200 dollars). And the synergeyes is custom made to your prescription and size. So it might be worth a shot! Consult with doctor first to see if they would recommend it with your prescription. Hope this helps!

I think I might’ve been who mentioned them in your previous question, but I’ll answer again.
They’re GREAT, nothing like soft torics and they are actually MORE comfortable than the torics I tried because I don’t feel them moving around all the time. They are expensive, but my eye doctor didn’t charge an extra fitting fee (just the normal $45). This is actually my second set of trials because the first set wasn’t right, but this is just about perfect. My eye doctor charges $125 per lens and you have to buy 2 at once, so if your Rx is different in each eye, it’ll be $500. That’s for the whole year though — they are supposed to last 6 months each — so it isn’t really THAT much more than you’d pay for torics for the year. Also, there is a 90day return policy, so you can try them for THREE months before you decide if you like them or not. I strongly suggest you give them a try, especially because it seems like you’ve tried just about every soft toric out there!
They’re expensive because it’s a new technology and because the technique used to create them is different than other lenses. For me, it’s worth it. There’s no way of knowing if that will be the case for you until you try them out.

PS — I’m 22, so my vision is more or less “stable” for now
