Was at the eye doctor and they gave me a trial pair of Air Optix for Astigmatism. I looked online and they seem to be very expensive. Im looking for the cheapest pair I can that will work for me. I am 22 and pay rent and a lot of other bills. Im moving soon so need to save for other things like security. Do they have to say Astigmatism in the name or how else do I search to find ones for an Astigmatism. Ive been looking on www.lens.com. Thank you for the help

Corrective lenses are a conservative method of dealing with astigmatism. Glasses and contact lenses are able to counter the effects of the irregularly shaped cornea and provide vision considerable improvement.
Ortho-K is an alternative method that uses special contact lenses that actually reshape the cornea. These special lenses are worn only at night and they gradually reshape the cornea by applying pressure in the right way.
A common misconception is that LASIK eye surgery doesn’t apply to astigmatism, but that’s false.
LASIK eye surgery is by far the most commonly selected procedure for refractive eye surgery. During the LASIK procedure, a small incision creates a corneal flap and an excimer laser is used to reshape the cornea. Most people can notice quite an improvement in vision immediately upon completion of the procedure. LASIK surgery is quick and painless, usually being performed on an out-patient basis.
Thing is, you can’t just go and order any brand you want and expect them to work.
Toric lenses ( for astigmatism ) have to always be trial fit first, like with the pair you have now. Every brand is going to fit differently, some will work, some won’t.
First of all, you need a prescription to order any brand on line.
Second…all toric lenses are going to be very similar in price, you won’t find a big price difference among the different brands.
Those are a monthly disposable, that is as inexpensive as you can get.
Once your prescription is finalized by your Dr., take the prescription and order online, but ONLY what is written on the prescription…you can’t change brands. They won’t send a different brand because they verify it with your Dr. first.
Look for toric lenses…those ones are meant for people with astigmatism.
