as told many years ago that I had this condition but it has gotten progressively worse in the last 5 years. I am not able to afford an eye doctor at this point and time so any response is appreciated.

Astigmatism is when your eyes are football shaped as opposed to being round. Mine are like this and I am nearsighted. You should find a way to get to an optometrist.
I needed financial help for some dental work and was able get get a credit card called “Care Credit”, maybe you can try that.

Astigmatism is when your eye is not perfectly shaped so all edges are blurry and you can’t really see that fine detail. I have astigmatisms and asked the eye dr about it because I once had 20/20 vision and now I can barely see anything especially out of my right eye. I thought it was from computer and working with numbers all day. But, he told me, no that wasn’t the cause, just like anything else as you get older things change, including the shape of your eye. I too have trouble seeing at night. Especially signs and stuff because the letters are even blurrier at night. So stick with the glasses especially when driving…..at least till you can get to the dr (I’ve been there….went without anything for a long long time, but I wouldn’t drive at night)
Good luck! I hope this helps you in some small way.
