What Type Of Contact Lenses Should I Get? (overnight, Extended, Daily?)?

I think I’d like to get contact lenses, but I want to know which kind to use.
I love the idea of overnight extended use contacts (so I don’t have to take the contacts out at night, and I can wear the same contacts for 2 weeks or so). What are these like? Are they comfortable?
What type of contacts do you use, and why?
I have weak long-sightedness (just +1 in each eye) and slight astigmatism in each eye. My current optometrist told me to just wear my glasses for reading. But my friend who is a trained/registered optometrist but is not currently practising suggests I wear my glasses all the time, because I complain of frequent headaches and eye-strain. In the last month I’ve been doing this and feel more comfortable if I wear my glasses all the time. But I don’t want to have to do this, so I’d like to get contact lenses instead.

Go to an optomertrist. My hubby wears soft lenses and can keep them in 24/7, he has a six month supply, and only has to change them every 30days.

Extended is recommended if u wear lenses for very long hours. Dailies are recommended for part time wearer, meaning the use wear it for like 2 to 3 days per week. Overnite lenses are not very recommended althought it is proven that it is suitable for overnite wearing. Lastly, do an eye check with the eye doc to determine which is more suitable for ur eyes.
