Will I Be Able To Find Contacts To Fit My Astigmatism?

Filed under FAQ on advance for astigmatism

I have astigmatism in my right eye, and my left eye is normal.
On my first visit, I got provision astigmatism contacts for my right eye I think, and those were comfortable, but they tended to move and cause my eye to be blurry sometimes.
On my 2nd visit, I got baush and lomb astigmatism contacts and they just move and don’t settle and hurt really bad in my eyes.
My left eye is fine with contacts.
Will I be able to find a contact to fit my astigmatism so that it is not painful and doesn’t move around too much?
I really want to stick with contacts :(
What will happen? Thank you very much.
if you could reccomened any brands, that would be good too.
thanks

It’s up to your Dr. to find a brand that will work for you. That’s what you are paying him for.
We can recommend brands all day, but none of them may work.
Toric lenses ( for astigmatism ) can be tricky sometimes, so that’s why trials have to be done to find the right one for you.

Like Footprintz said, each person is individual, so it might take some tries.
However, I got contacts recently and find Acuvue Advance for astigmatism to work really well!
The first few minutes after I put them on, I could feel them in, but after that, they were comfortable, and I could see perfectly clearly. Because they’re lenses for astigmatism, they move around in my eyes and get a little blurry, but a couple of blinks fixes that pretty easily.
However, the lenses in your eye could be moving because the doctor accidentally measured your eyes wrong, since both brands seem to not be settling – so you might want to ask him about that, too.
    Hope this helped!

You need to be fitted for contacts.
