Will This Change What I Need Glasses For?

A couple years ago, I got glasses for reading. Recently I went to my eye doctor and he told me that I had a slight astigmatism in one eye…does this mean I will need to wear my glasses all the time, or will I still only need them for reading?
Need more information before anyone here can give you a clear answer, like what your prescription is? how old you are? what your visions are?
