Would It Be Okay If I Got Colored Contacts?

Right now I use two weeks Acuvue Oasis contacts. I have slight astigmatism. Over the summer I ordered a my contacts to last me for a year but I am thinking that when its time for me to order a new supply, I buy a set of colored contacts to wear once in a while? I hear the contacts can shift and alter your vision though. Would it be okay to get them?
I used to be against them, but I’ve come around. Now I love changing up the colors and no, they’ve never affected my vision.

Hello. I have astigmatism too. If your astig isn’t that high, then get them. If it is, it’s best to get with the astig. And I love colour contacts! I’m mixed chinese&malay and i have hazel brown, green and blue. I love the green ones the best.
But, i recommend the daily wear colour contacts because you don’t wear them often. =D
i hav astigmatism and they really hurt i wouldnt recommend them
I have been wearing Acuvue Oasis prescribed color contacts since the 8th grade. I am 19 now so that’s been a good 6 years. I have not had any trouble whatsoever with them. I have blue ones, green ones and clear ones for when i don’t want to wear colored.
My suggestion would be to go to your eye doctor and ask him for color contact samples. They aren’t prescribed but you can put them in and see how you like them in your eye. That’s what I did. And I chose the ones that fit better to my eye. And remember: there are now contacts SPECIFICALLY made for people with Astigmatism such as me and you. So give it a try!

Well it might be okay if you wear colored contats in moderation but colored can hurt your eyes. So just stick with normal contats, also the best that i would choose weould be glasses.

Yha it’s fine, my little sister whos like 10 years old might get some, so it’s fine and I think colored contacts are hot too, lol.
I have astigmatism quite bad in one of my eyes. I have used contacts before, but can’t keep from tearing them all of the time so I use glasses. But, they do make contacts specifically made for people with astigmatism, you might try them. I believe they make them in colors.

it should be okay, but you might want to check with your optometrist first. my friend’s brother had a pair of color contacts, and they didn’t cause him any problems, but they did slightly alter his color perception. if that bothers you, then maybe color contacts aren’t for you. but color contacts don’t normally cause problems; it all depends on your previous medical history, and whatever eye problems you have. i recommend scheduling an appointment with your optometrist, about a month before you need to renew your prescription, and talking it over with him or her.

it does sometimes affect ur eye it may irritate much and cause you to not focus on stuff so you should get prescribed contacts that won’t change the way u see just the color.
I have astigmatisms and u shouldn’t use them they can affect ur vision and even make u wear glasses or contact that are prescribed
